About the Campus

UF Jacksonville is a new campus located in downtown Jacksonville as part of a transformative partnership between the University of Florida, the City of Jacksonville, and the State of Florida. The campus will expand UF’s presence in Northeast Florida through graduate education, research, workforce development, and community engagement, helping drive innovation, talent, and economic growth across the region.  

UF Jacksonville is a multidisciplinary campus that offers programs from the Warrington College of Business, the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering, the College of Design, Construction, and Planning, the Levin College of Law, and the College of Medicine.  

Jacksonville is a growing regional hub with a strong business climate, nearly two million residents across Northeast Florida, and a diverse economy anchored by corporate operations, healthcare, technology, logistics, financial services, and more. With more than 150 headquarters in the region and a deepening talent base, Jacksonville offers a strong setting for a UF campus focused on graduate education, research, innovation, and workforce development.

While UF Health and UF Jacksonville are affiliated with the University of Florida, UF Health is a healthcare system that includes several hospitals and offices in North Florida; UF Jacksonville is a graduate campus located in downtown Jacksonville that offers graduate degree programs like MBA, Master of Studies in Law, Master of Architecture, and more. UF Jacksonville does not offer health services.

UF Jacksonville is currently located at 801 W. Bay Street, Jacksonville, FL 32204. UF Jacksonville is situated in Jacksonville’s historic LaVilla neighborhood, next to the landmark Jacksonville Terminal Station.   

The university will begin construction on the first of two additional new buildings in early 2027. The buildings will be built adjacent to the 801 W. Bay Street building on North Lee Street, between Bay and Forsyth. Construction on the first building is scheduled to be completed in 2029. 

UF Jacksonville will open to students in August 2026. The existing building at 801 W. Bay Street is currently undergoing renovations in preparation for the upcoming academic year.  

UF Jacksonville plans to begin construction on the first of two new buildings in early 2027. 

Students, faculty, and staff have access to the parking lot located behind 801 W. Bay Street with their mobile GATORONE cards. UF Jacksonville has a small visitor's lot located at the front of the building. All other visitors must be signed in with the security team to visit campus.

Programs & Academics

There are currently eight graduate-level programs being offered at UF’s Jacksonville campus, including: 

  • Master of Architecture 
  • Master of Science in Architectural Sciences, non-professional 
  • Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence in Biomedical & Health Sciences 
  • Master of Science in Computer Science – AI or Cybersecurity concentration 
  • Master of Science in Engineering Management – Data Analytics concentration 
  • Master of Science in Management – AI concentration 
  • Master of Studies in Law 
  • Weekend Part-time Master of Business Administration

UF Jacksonville operates as part of the University of Florida, which is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Degrees earned at UF Jacksonville are University of Florida degrees. 

Yes, offerings will continue to grow as the campus does. Future programs can include master's programs, certificates, fully online degrees, and more. Check back or follow us on InstagramFacebook, and LinkedIn to stay informed about the programs offered at the Jacksonville campus.

Yes. Many of the UF Jacksonville programs are designed to be taken while a student works. Several programs offer formats including once-a-month weekend classes, evening courses, part-time enrollment, and more. However, each program is different. Be sure to check out your intended program’s format prior to applying by visiting the program page. If you have any questions about the program or its enrollment format, please contact us. 

UF Jacksonville does not offer undergraduate or Bachelor’s degree programs at this time. The campus is positioned to serve working professionals and full-time students looking to advance their careers with graduate degrees. 

Yes. UF Jacksonville will be home to the UF Applied Research for National Security, or ARNS, Lab. Envisioned as a secure collaboration hub, the ARNS Lab will support applied research and technology transition aligned with national security priorities, including AI-driven advanced manufacturing, microelectronics, space-related technologies, biotechnology, and biosecurity. The lab will also create opportunities for UF students and faculty to gain hands-on experience with applied research in a secure environment. Learn more at arns.ufl.edu.

Admissions

You can submit your application using the UF Graduate Application. Each program has its own admission requirements, so be sure to review the details for your intended program before applying 

Each graduate program has its own admission criteria, timeline, and required supporting materials. Visit jax.ufl.edu/apply and select your program to explore specific requirements and prerequisites. 

Yes. Currently, the application fee for a University of Florida graduate program is $30. Application fee waivers may be available for qualified applicants. Please contact the academic program for more details.

Tuition & Financial Aid

Each program’s tuition and fees are different. Please visit your intended program’s website to find the program's cost.  

Yes. Eligible students may apply for financial aid through the University of Florida. Graduate students are considered for federal student loans, but you must complete a FAFSA application before consideration. Any scholarship, fellowship, or assistantship opportunities are handled by the individual academic program or college.  

We encourage applicants to review UF’s financial aid resources and connect with the Office for Student Financial Aid and Scholarships for questions about individual eligibility.
